I thought the Times article was interesting. I thought the way it affeceted different kids different ways. Some of my goals would be to do good in school, get a good job, and enjoy life. I would like to get a good job to help my family and help the world become a better place. It wil help me realize how lucky we are to have all this stuff and make me more thankful. Hopefully it will make the lives of others much better.
I enjoyed the Times article. It was a great way to show how people can be inspired by reading a book. My goals in life are to do good in school, and to live life fully. Doing well in school helps you get into college and do better later on in life. Then I can support other people in my life who can not support themselves. I think the people who are well educated are more likely to change the world.
I believed that the article was well-written and explained the american dream in an eloquent and precise way. I scored 90% on the quiz and believe that my future is my green light. The college and law school that I wish to attain are a major part of my inspiration.
I thought that the Times article written over the Great Gatsby was very intriguing. It is interesting to see the different outlooks on this book from teenagers across the world. Some believe that money is everything, while others believed that the journey to your dream is most vital. I made a 90% on the test and believe that everyone in life has a goal to achieve. My goal is to go to a good college, study a good profession, and make sure that what I am doing, regardless of pay, I love to partake in that job.
The Times article was very interesting, students were explaining the “American Dream”. The “American Dream” has been exagerated to some point, saying that if you move to America then everything will be better, not neccisarily. Some students explained that for you to achieve the “American Dream” that you need money to succeed. However, other students dissagree entirely. They say that its all about HOW you get to your objective as long as you reach your goal. My goal is to go to college and major in the Arts Department. I want to inspire other people through my work and make sure that I enjoy every aspect of my proffesion.
I enjoyed reading the Times article. I thought it was a very well written artcle. i enjoyedd reading about kids my age and what they interpreted from the book. It was interesting to see what the dreams and goals of kids my age are right now and how many of them differ. I have many dreams for my life, i want to get into a good school, get a good education and have a good job. I want to be a teacher and hopefully some day impact someones life. I think you have to be grateful for what you are given and make the most of it in your life.
I found the Times article very interesting. I like hearing how other teenagers interpret the book in different ways, often according to their background. my dream in life is to get into a good college and hopefully get a job in the medical field. there have been a lot of medical needs in my family and i am very grateful to everyone that has helped us. i plan to be able to do the same for any other people in need.
First off, I had no idea that this book meant so much to so many people. Before I just saw Gatsby as just another book that happened to be in the 20s. I made a 7/10 on the quiz. I dont have many specific goals in my life but i do know i want to go to a good college, learn something about business and do something involving business.
The article really showed how many young people can compare their lives to that of which Gatsby aspired to. I have dreamed of being an architect and to me that is my “green light” that pops out. My “green light” is to get into a very good college and to enter the medical field. I want to use the gifts that God has given me to help the underprivileged people out there.

I thought the article was very interesting because it showed how much high school students can relate to a book and the characters in a book. While reading this article i found it so intresting that so many kids have read it and had a certain impact on the book. They could also realate to some of the characters in the book and also have a story behind that. My “green light” is to get to a great college so i can start my carreer. I want to work in the forensic science field and i know i will have to work very hard to acheive that goal. But if i want it bad enough nothing can stop me from getting there.
I believe that the article was very interesting, especially all the beliefs of the children. Its incredible to hear children as young as 14 being so ambitious about thier future. I think my green light is to work as hard as I possibly can in whatever I do. Without a great work ethic, most people will not succeed. I think that most of the people interviewed viewed the green light the same. It was a sense of hope for them to accomplish their dreams. The green light to me is a symbolism of hope. This article is intresting to me because it allowed me to look at the book in the ways that it relates to me. Seeing the American dream through these student’s perspectives showed me how much America and other countries have changed in the last fifty years. One of the my green lights is getting a degree in law and using my gifts to do God’s will. Lawyers can do many different types of things and the world really need ethical lawyers. I scored a 8/10 on the quiz.
I think the teenagers in this article want to live the American dream of being rich but they don’t think they can do it. This article made me realise what many teenagers are going through just to get by. The green light in my life is to have a healthy life and not to get caught up in the money is everything.
